The Refugee Next Door


Soweta is located in the North of Jinja at 60 km of Kampala, the Capital of Uganda. It harbors around 3000 people living in extremely precarious conditions, some of which have been doing so for more than 10 years. If, at first, the activities implemented by the Refugee Next Door at the Soweta Refugee Camp only had a short-term impact, they have now been increasingly integrated into a long-term course of action.
